Ten it is..

Last evening managed to get time to visit a new well recommended place in CP, and one that actually lived up to the recommendation - 'Ten' at the YWCA International Guest House on Parliament Street. A must try - nice ambience - not too big and must look pretty in the day. Nice warm colours, pretentious service and a good menu though i personally thought it caters more to a 'firang' crowd, which can get unnerving sometimes. The menu has indian options which come complete with 'Indians breads or Basmati rice' Hmmph.

But the foodis its main selling point - which was nearly a three course meal - involved soup (cream of broccoli and a slightly jarring shade of green) a lemon iced tea (where we almost assembled on the table), a raw papaya salad (crunchy and perfect), oriental chicken (delicious but far too little) , grilled fish (absolutely done to perfection) and carbonara (yummmm). Much to my dismay there was no place left for a dessert.. but did not see much of a selection there either.

Go there.. and could not find any link but its the YWCA on Parliament street, across from the SBI head office...

I had some kind of food from the same restaurant few years ago, not too sure if this is the same at YWCA on parliament street, talking about 1992s. They were just beginning. Food was really good but loads of oil was there i the cauliflower dish ordered. Otherwise, we had thoroughly enjoyed all other naans, salads, fish curry, etc.
